Retro quilt

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great Fourth of July last week! I could also celebrate (from far) my grandma's birthday. She turned 90!

Here's my Retro quilt from the pattern Retro by Camille Roskelley. It's amazing to see many others Retro versions at the Flickr group and here on our quilt along and giveaway

I'm very happy with this baby size quilt (nine blocks). I used the same Pellon batting that I used for  my Swell quilt. I also pieced and quilted with Aurifil thread, grey color number 2600.

I made this quilt for a baby boy, but I'm thinking on making another one for my living room as a throw. It just matchs with the colors and the style I like in the living room...

This quilt is so easy to piece! Oh gosh! It was quick. My major trouble was deciding which colors and prints I'd choose for this project . Believe it or not, I've pretty much decided for the fabrics for almost all of the quilts from the book Simply Retro, but this pattern took me a lot. A lot. After giving up of making it all scrappy I decided to go with simplicity!

Soon I'll be back with a new link for our third week of entries and another giveaway. Have you realized that we always will have at least two giveaways running in the same time? We're incredible lucky to have wonderful sponsors every week until we finish our quilt along... and we still have a plenty of time to play! Just join us anytime! I've been very happy answering emails from people with questions about the quilt along. Just ask!

Looking for Week 1 winner (Swell project)? Check it here!
Looking for Week 2 (Retro project)? Ad your link until July, 15th.

Hope you like my Retro quilt!

Thank you Lynda! I'm glad you like this quilt. It took me a lot of time to decide which colors I was going to choose for this quilt. So I picked one of my favorite colors and it turned out great!
